The hi-tensile steel frame is strong and durable while the suspension fork provides extra comfort when the riding gets rough with a soft spring suitable for junior riders. As well as being great looking, the Jade has a great spec to match. 6-speed gearing is powered by a Shimano rear derailleur and Revoshift shifter, ensuring smooth gear changes without losing grip of the handlebars. The double-sided chainwheel guard protects fingers and clothes and prevents the chain from slipping off the chainring. MTB style pedals provide reassuring grip and the soft compound handlebar grips are durable and comfortable to hold. Braking is taken care of by reliable front and rear V-brakes with specially designed reach-adjustable brake levers that can be adjusted to accommodate smaller hands. The Jade is ideally suited to grow with young riders thanks to the longer 250mm seat post, adjustable saddle fore and aft position and quill handlebar stem that can be adjusted up and down to suit. The wheels are assembled with strong yet lightweight alloy rims and knobbly MTB tyres for extra grip when riding off road.
